Robert Plant, Saving Grace - The Cuckoo - Queen's Hall, Edinburgh, Scotland. 05/11/22
Saving Grace - Live at HiFi Club, Leeds - 28 febbraio 2019 [con Robert Plant e Suzi Dian].

26 agosto – Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italia
28 agosto – Macerata, Italia
30 agosto – Taormina, Sicilia, Italia
1 settembre – Locus Festival, Bari, Italia
3 settembre – Ostia, Italia
5 settembre – Milano, Italia
6 settembre – Vicenza in Festival, Vicenza, Italia
▪Registrazioni audio e video inclusi download digitali e CD
▪Riprese musicali dal vivo
▪Poster, adesivi e riviste
▪Borse, portafogli, ombrelli e valigie
▪Abbigliamento comprese calzature e copricapo

Saving Grace - Please Read The Letter (Malvern Theatre, Malvern 22nd July 2021)

Robert Plant - In My Time Of Dying (Led Zeppelin cover) at the King's Theatre Glasgow 06/11/2022

Saving Grace- Robert Plant Nature Boy- Set Theatre Kilkenny- 21.07.19

dovrebbe fare In My Time Of Dying

Grazie Pearcy..Grazie Robert..🥰

Robert Plant: rediscovering the pub dimension.
The former Led Zeppelin vocalist in summer in Italy with his new band Saving Grace born between pints playing in UK breweries. "In concerts I would like to recreate the intimacy of the places I frequented and performed in during my youth," he says. "I would describe the group's sound as music with a psychedelic soul."
His exploits with Led Zeppelin and Band of Joy, his collaborations with Jimmy Page and Alison Krauss, not forgetting, of course, his legendary solo work, have made him a global star rivaling the likes of Mick Jagger, Freddie Mercury or Jim Morrison, but Robert Plant remains decidedly a Midlands man. If he's not performing or listening to music, there's a good chance he's enjoying a pint at his local club or watching his beloved Wolves. And that brings us to his latest musical venture, Saving Grace, which began as a jam in the local pub.
"It's an undercover, undeground musical revolution," Plant says in an interview with the Express & Star. "I was traveling all over the world, but when I came back I really wanted to keep singing, and I found The Swan in Stourport."
Stourport-on-Severn, a charming town of less than 20,000 souls in the county of Worcestershire. Here guitarist Matt Worley runs The Swan, a pub with a strong musical tradition, where Plant was seen singing with guitarist Rob Tennant of Seisdon in 2016. And it was there that the former Led Zeppelin vocalist saw singer Suzi Dian and drummer Oli Jefferson perform, as well as guitarist Tony Kelsey, musicians in whom Plant identified the right mates to form a band. "Suzi and Oli were already held in high esteem in this area," he says. "Everyone here has their own history and reputation, that's very important."
Saving Grace plays a slow, feeling-filled type of music, borrowing largely from 19th-century American folk music, with psychedelic sound effects. Plant admits that it is a difficult sound to label. "A lot of people call it Americana, but it's definitely not," he explains. "I would describe it as music with a psychedelic soul."
Initially it seemed like a way to fill in the gaps between tours, but slowly, touring pubs around the United Kingdom, between pints, what had started out as a gathering of friends at the pub was taking the shape of a project. So much so that Plant registered the name "Saving Grace" and launched into a European tour with his new band, which will be in Italy at the turn of August and September with this schedule: Aug. 26 Arena Alpe Adria in Lignano; Aug. 28 Sferisterio in Macerata; Aug. 30 Teatro Antico in Taormina; Sept. 1 Locus Festival in Bari; Sept. 3 Teatro Romano in Ostia Antica; Sept. 5 Teatro Arcimboldi in Milan; Sept. 6 Piazza Dei Piazza Dei Signori in Vicenza.
"Places are important," he is keen to emphasize. "I would like to recreate the intimacy of the places I frequented and performed in during my youth. When I was a kid I would go to Dudley Town Hall, Stourbridge Town Hall or Coventry Town Hall, and you could see the Rolling Stones and all the other bands at that level. Today, if you're a big band like the Stones, playing at Wembley, it's all very different. It will be very well organized, very professional, but there's not that interaction with the audience."
Robert Anthony Plant was born on August 20, 1948, into a family of musicians. His father, also Robert, had played the violin as a young man before focusing on his career as a civil engineer and raising a family. He was also a painter, a hobby he took up upon his retirement. But young Robert's musical talent may also have come from his grandfather, Robert Shropshire Plant, founder and leader of the Vono Revo Works Band in the Dudley Port area of the Black Country. Vono, the bed maker, and Revo, who specialized in electrical equipment, were major employers in the postwar Black Country, and in those days playing in a brass band was a major leisure activity for workers.
"They were a pretty serious and renowned band, also known as the Dudley Port Drinking Band," Plant recalls. "He played trombone, then violin in the orchestra pit accompanying silent movies, and sometimes piano. I have many pictures of my grandfather and his father in their bands."
Elvis Presley was the soundtrack of his childhood in the 1950s. "When I was a kid, at Christmas I would hide behind the curtains at home and try to be Elvis," he said in a 1994 interview. "There was a certain atmosphere between the curtains and the French doors, there was a certain sound there for a 10-year-old. I always wanted to be a little bit like him."
He attended King Edward VI Grammar School in Stourbridge, and it was during his teenage years that his musical taste diversified, developing a strong passion for the blues, particularly Willie Dixon and Robert Johnson. At the age of 15, he took the stage for the first time, filling in for the lead singer in a band called The Jurymen. The group was based at The Bull's Head pub on Pedmore Road, Lye, and was kept by guitarist John Dudley's grandfather. Plant recalls a performance with The Jurymen at Swadlincote: "I looked into the audience's eyes and met a blonde's. From that moment, I knew what I wanted to do."
After leaving school, Robert took a two-week internship to become an accountant before deciding that office life would not be for him. "I left home at 16 and began my real musical education, going from band to band, deepening my knowledge of blues that had weight and was worth listening to."
The Seven Stars pub in Stourbridge became a big draw for the young Robert Plant when he organized folk and blues nights. A local band called The Delta Blues Band performed there and it was not long before Robert convinced these much older musicians to let him play some songs with them. The mod-style band played in the Walsall area and would become the first of several bands he would play in before joining the Crawling King Snakes, through which he came in contact with John Bonham, who would become the drummer for Led Zeppelin.
His life changed forever in 1968 when former Yardbirds guitarist Jimmy Page was looking for a new singer. First choice Terry Reid refused to join the group, suggesting Page go to a gig at a teacher training institute in Birmingham, where Plant was singing in a band called Hobbstweedle. Page recalled being mesmerized by Plant's vocal range while singing Jefferson Airplane's Somebody to Love, and could not explain why such a talent had not already been successful. "I immediately thought there was something wrong with him personality-wise, or that it was impossible to work with him, because I just couldn't understand why, after he told me he had been singing for a few years already, he hadn't become a big name yet," Page said in an interview. "So I took him to my house for a while just to check him out, and we got along very well."
Plant immediately showed interest in Page's offer. With Bonham on drums, the name New Yardbirds was soon dropped and the band became Led Zeppelin.
